The AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules set how that circuit gets sized and protected.
A safety switch (RCD) is mandatory on the circuit, and it has to be its own, never piggybacking off whatever already protects the rest of the house. DIY electrical work is illegal in NSW, and a charger circuit carrying real overnight load is not a job to shortcut.
